Artist Bio
Amanda is a multi-hyphenate Nicaraguan designer, producer, and artist from Berkeley, California. She comes from a lineage of women artists whose distinct perspectives have shaped how she engages with the world, continuing to influence and inform her own multidisciplinary practice. Working primarily with resin and unconventional fabrication processes, Amanda explores themes of memory, meditative mark-making, the tension between function and object, and light as both material and medium. Her work bridges art, design, and storytelling, creating pieces that invite calm reflection through texture, form, and illumination. Her furniture designs and contributions to the Bay Area design community over the past decade have been recognized by Sight Unseen, Dezeen, and Design Milk.
